Niki Maclean
Niki Maclean is Vice and Audit Chair of the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission. Her previous role was Director of the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman, leading it’s investigatory functions. She led the development of UK wide ombudsman industry service standards and established the first masters in ombudsmanry.
Niki has sat on scrutiny forums, was a member of the UK Administrative Justice Council and sits on the Joint Committee of Intercollegiate Examinations for the Royal College of Surgeons as Lay Representative.
In addition, Niki previously worked as a senior HR and OD professional across the public and private sector.
Niki now operates as a senior consultant and researcher providing advice, coaching and support at sector, organisation and individual level. She is Trustee of a youth led charity and is undertaking a Masters in Sports Psychology. She is committed to diversity, and is an advocate for neurodiversity, with a particular research interest in neurodiverse athletes.
