Neurodiversity and Self-Advocacy in Cricket
An Introduction to the Resource
This resource was developed through a valued collaboration between Neurodiverse Sport and the Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA)—the players’ union for professional cricketers in England and Wales. The PCA exists to champion the rights, welfare, and personal development of current and former players throughout their careers.

It’s especially fitting that we’ve worked together on a resource exploring neurodiversity and self-advocacy. The ability to understand and communicate your needs is a key part of thriving in high-performance environments—particularly for neurodivergent athletes. While grounded in the context of cricket, the guidance and tools shared here are useful across many sports and settings.
We are proud to share this resource widely to ensure it reaches as many players, coaches, and support networks as possible. Please do not copy, reproduce, or redistribute this content without permission.
