NdS AMBASSADOR - BEN MARSTON .

Introduction

Neurodiverse Sport are proud to platform Ben Marston as our bowling ambassador. Our ambassador programme exists to amplify a simple but powerful message: having a label doesn’t limit your potential. With self-awareness and the right formula, success in sport is possible—whatever that looks like for you.

Ben embodies this message through his achievements in bowling and beyond. Diagnosed with ADHD and traits of dyspraxia, he has represented England internationally and uses his platform to share real-life insights, tackle stigma, and inspire others.

Our ambassadors show what’s possible when neurodivergent strengths are recognised and supported—and they’re here to answer your questions.

Bio

About Me

“Hi, my name is Ben Marston. I am a 17 year old ten pin bowler from Sunderland in the North East of England. I’ve been bowling since I was 7 years old when I joined Excel Sunderland Youth Bowling Club and since then, my passion for ten pin bowling has gone from strength to strength.

For a number of years, I have been competing in tournaments across the UK, Europe and the USA. My ambition is to become a professional bowler and compete in PBA (Professional Bowlers Association) tournaments around the world.”

Neurodiversity & Adversity

“As a person diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), concentration on anything can be a challenge but I have been able to use ten pin bowling as a tool to train my concentration and focus more effectively.

I’m excited to have been appointed to the Youth Team England squad for 2024 and I am very much looking forward to representing England in tournaments both in the UK and overseas.”

“Through my platforms I’m keen to show others that they can overcome adversity and excel in their chosen field.”
